I took a chance on getting a cat lamp despite some bad reviews on some sockets etc. I really like mine and I'm lucky with the socket. The cord runs well through the back except that the cat's front paws don't sit on the base, that's all you don't even see or notice its base It looks completely cat like and is well tailored but my ONLY complaint is that there is a large tear RIGHT down the center of the Has cat in the front and is very flashy so it's a real shame and to be honest it probably shouldn't even have been shipped it should have been sold elsewhere as a discounted item but love coche you love those salt lamps so am I happy with this one I didn't want to risk swapping it out for another via Revain and it's getting worse so be careful you know en not what you can get when you order these carvings! I also ordered a plain round from Vitacost.com and it arrived in perfect condition. So if you don't want to risk defects, I suggest checking it somewhere else, even a store where you can return it if there are defects. I also bought another one from Walmart which was fine.
