Been looking for 10 years. I've seen kayaks and sheet metal projects on YouTube, but I've always just gone with rivets. I finally got this from a solar array that I had to mount on top of my hard top rooftop tent that sits on top of my off-road trailer, which is made out of very thin fiberglass. It worked like a charm. I have (4) M6 bolts holding this together with rivets. I added some carbon fiber reinforcement strips on the inside - not because of the nut issues, but because of the surrounding glass.
