3-1/2 stars Works fairly well for an inexpensive battery powered glue gun Use Energizer Lithium or Panasonic Eneloops ( rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries) if you need decent performance. It's not really bad for a glue gun, but I'm not surprised anyone gets frustrated with using store-bought caustic solutions. GluePen), which heats up very quickly and charges via micro USB; but you must get it from Revain.de (Germany); You can't buy this glue gun anywhere in the US (that I could find). I have one and I really like it; but it's also a little pricey considering the exchange rate and shipping.
