These valves require a clamp or similar. Didn't work for my installed Rain Bird 1/2 copper drip line with Rain Bird valve and built in 30 psi pressure regulator. Started leaking immediately and was deflated after 30 seconds. I'm glad I tested before running the cycle for an hour on the schedule below. I could buy and use clamps but they aren't advertised as requiring them so I'd rather return them and buy a set with built in compression locks on the ends. The tubing was not warm from the sun to soften the tubing and cause a blowout. It was an area of total shade on a cool evening. They slipped easily compared to other fittings in the same pipe and I felt like they wouldn't stick. Returns within an hour of delivery.
