Review on AcuRite 01184M Gray Digital Meat Thermometer with Timed Cooking Indicator by Byron Patil

Let me start by saying that I've had several AcuRite thermometers and their temperature sensors are the only ones I've found that can consistently handle cooking temperatures in excess of 500 degrees Fahrenheit. I bought this unit in January and it worked for about 2 months before the display failed. I contacted AcuRite customer service in March and Chris sent me a new device. Now, 2 months later, the replacement device has failed. Sheri from customer service didn't answer properly. Let's see if I get the 3rd device in time and if this one lasts. I'm not holding my breath. I would look elsewhere for a good thermometer.
