Don't worry about the kitchen and dining room

Although it looks fairly durable, it has been used less than 10 times and dropped once. Now it won't turn on at all. Very bad quality

  • No Insurance

Garbage 2 is down for <6 months!

First, let me say that I've had several AcuRite thermometers and their temperature sensors are the only ones I've found that consistently handle cooking temperatures in excess of 500 degrees Fahrenheit. I bought this device in January and worked for about 2 months, then the display failed. I contacted AcuRite customer service in March and Chris sent me a new unit. Now, 2 months later, the replacement device has failed. Sheri from customer service didn't respond properly. Let's see if I get the…

Temperature sensor malfunction. The saga continues.

I basically like the device. I probably use it once a week. The temperature sensor failed after 16 months of use. The reason I bought this unit was because the previous unit also had a sensor failure after years of use. Now I'm looking for a replacement sensor. Planned obsolescence? Update: Finally received an email for the Support Center. Asked them if I could buy a spare (also told them it was 16 months old). Their response was that if it is less than 12 months old they can send a replacement

Pros
  • thermometers and timers
