They are hollow in the structure of the clip. I doubt they can resist. There is also a seam that runs along the entire length of the clip. The suture forms a sharp ridge that, after a while, can damage anything it's attached to. I ordered them when traveling because I needed them immediately to fasten my strap. Unfortunately, I no longer have the packaging so I can't return it. Update: I have used them once as luggage strap connectors (<30lbs so less than 15lbs per clip) and they have warped to the point where I can no longer use them.
