Decent quality kitchen sponges

These sponges are good but not as strong as Scotch-Brite/Ocelo sponges of the same size. Lately it is not possible to find a Scotch-Brite/Ocelo size cellulose kitchen sponge called "Universal Sponges" on the market. I LIKE THE SIZE OF THE UNIVERSAL SPONGE BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD AND THICK. These kitchen sponges from the Hydra Sponge Company are high quality sponges. They are very absorbent and will last about two weeks of daily use before they "crack" and gradually begin to tear. Scotch-Brite/Ocelo Utility sponges last much longer, typically two months or more before starting to crack. The dimensions are exactly the same as the Scotch-Brite/Ocelo "Utility" sponges, except they are slightly thinner. The difference in thickness is small. The price for two sponges was only $2.99. It's strange that Scotch-Brite/Ocelo "Utility Sponges" hasn't been in stores lately. Most sponges that you can find in stores these days have the sponges fused on one side. This type is useless to me because the included dishwashing sponge reduces the absorbency of the sponge. That's why I prefer to keep washcloths separate from kitchen sponges. (I cut them into 1 1/2 inch wide strips with scissors.) Sponges without cleaning pads, which are still often found in stores, are too thin. The Scotch-Brite Ocelo Utility Sponge is currently still in stock and available on Amazon but at a reduced price. very high price. Two packs of these sponges, supplied and sold by Amazon, currently cost $6.68, which is quite expensive but perhaps worth it given the extremely high quality compared to the Hydra Sponge Company sponges. I think these sponges were discontinued by the manufacturer and what is still available are old stock purchased from Amazon before they were discontinued. Judging by all the customer reviews on this product, it is clear that there are a large number of people (probably millions of people) who miss having the Utility Sponge size in stores. I would like to know who is the 3M executive who made the very unpopular and bad decision to stop production of the universal size sponge. This leader should be fired immediately!
