This coffee maker brews great coffee in just three minutes. Caveats: First, it's designed to make a full 60-ounce pot. If you only want to make one cup at a time, look elsewhere. Second, use Bunn filters. They are tall so they don't allow thick overflow over the edges of the filter. Third, this thing brews an entire pot in just 3 minutes, which means rapid flow of water through the thickness. A maximum of ten tablespoons of medium-ground coffee (Banna filter) please! A fine grind, too much coffee or a filter that is too short can lead to contamination. Fourth, you need to clean your coffee maker about every 6 months to remove hard water buildup that can block water flow. Bunn includes the necessary cleaning supplies. If you don't clean up well, you'll end up with thin, bitter coffee and you'll find that the grounds used are only wet in the middle. It depends on you. Fifth, they only seem to last about 5 years before the heater, thermostat or whatever fails. In general, I am satisfied with this lifespan. In short, I will not buy anything else to make coffee with. The vacuum jug keeps the coffee hot for many hours after brewing and overall I can't think of anything that I can honestly say I don't like. This thing makes great coffee fast and I love it.
