Review on 🎨 PanPastel Ultra Soft Artist Pastel Black 280.5 - 9ml by Heather Collins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Charcoal oil lays down smoothly and lasts better than pressed oil. Applicators are required!

I kept hearing how good pastel was so I had to try it. I just turned black working on a black and white drawing. The first photo (left) is before I bought the pastels, the second (right) is with this product. I got the applicators earlier to try regular charcoal but haven't tried them. Pan pastels work best with applicators (pens with interchangeable sponges), I've tried Q-tips (cotton swabs) but they don't spread product as smoothly as applicators. They're not cheap, $7-8 per pot, but they're rare, so they're a good investment in your art tools.

Pros
  • Pastel
Cons
  • No paint required
