For mysterious and obscure reasons beyond human understanding (probably tiny little quantum cats crawling over circuits), my original remote spontaneously stopped sending volume control signals - something that really pleases the neighbors must have. When the TV came on, I turned up the volume. In any case, this extraordinarily economical replacement remote works great (even the volume button - so what?) so I'm very pleased. (Well, not really: I'm a remarkably unlucky person overall ☺, but I'm very happy with *this purchase*.) Customers should be aware that this replacement remote uses "AA" batteries, which are not included are. so you can pick something up before it arrives. (Your existing Triple A's need to be repurposed or retired and you may want to factor that into the cost when making comparisons.)
