Review on 🚴 Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt GPS Cycling Computer by Kyle Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Unsurpassed cost effectiveness

You can't improve what you can't measure! This review includes 5 trips. I'm excited about him. I started out by buying the Garmin equivalent, but since it ended up in my house, was previously used and was supposed to be new, I immediately went back. You can transcend it. 1 - Pairs easily with speed/cadence/heart rate monitors. Once I had connection problems. I solved the problem by turning on Unity, moving each sensor instantly, and starting my ride at that precise moment. 2 - I love how everything is done through the app and when you drive you only have to worry about the actual driving! 3 - I love the ability to preload routes from 3rd party sites like Strava, ridewithgps and projectmtb. Cons: Another reviewer pointed out and I agree: 1- It takes a while to stop driving while sitting in the light. 2 - measurements are taken with a delay of 3 seconds, give or take. Both minuses are irrelevant in my case since I'm not training to win anything. I don't know what to do with the battery life. I think it's on the shorter side, but there's really nothing to compare. I'm on my way to my first century. If the consensus holds, I probably won't edit this review! The first bike computer I bought was a wireless cateye over 10 years ago and had a lot of interference. So I swapped it for a wired device, which I still own to this day. Was skeptical about buying a wireless network and ran into the same issues. Not this case. Even the installation worked at the same time as Apple's setup. No interference and the same result!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required
