Compare with TireTek Premium Large Dial Gauge (2 inch)

I bought this and the "TireTek Premium Large Dial" which is a few bucks cheaper than this one. Here is a direct comparison of the two. Both gauges are way better than the pencil gauges in the tires that I bought at my local auto parts stores. Both products gave ALMOST identical (but slightly different) pressure readings on multiple tests. Pros: This gauge gives more stable readings than the TireTek, which will have small differences between readings (only about 0.2psi I think, but I liked the repeatability of the readings). this clinical thermometer). When I release some air with the blower valve, the needle rises immediately and stops at the correct reading (whereas the TireTek brand took 3 seconds to SLOWLY rise to the correct reading). The Longacre had a more robust construction, which was noticeable in the firm feel of the pressure relief valve. Spring on Tiretek was not as good as on Longacre. The main reason I chose it over the Tiretek was the tube, which made reading a lot easier compared to non-tube models. I can just lay the dial on the floor and stick the other end into the valve stem. The end that fits into the tire valve rotates 360 degrees. Overall this tire pressure sensor feels very reliable and you can feel that it will last for many years to come. It's worth a few bucks more considering this sensor gives the impression of being a product for life. CONS: 1. Don't rely on the glow-in-the-dark feature, which is very weak - the manufacturer could improve it. this function.2. The clarity and separation of the PSI markings on the TireTek dial is much better compared to this one. I find the dial to be slightly smaller than the TireTek, which had an easy-to-read PSI marking (although both are marketed as 2-inch dials). By using these two brands you can see and achieve accuracy as low as 0.5psi with a reading error of less than 0.3psi. The markings on both brands are only 1 PSI. TireTek has a very clear white background, while the dial background isn't as good (but still very legible).3. You need to insert it into the tire valve stem in one smooth motion. If you hesitate or change direction while inserting, the tire will begin to deflate for a few seconds until you get a proper seal. While the TireTek Premium model wasn't as breathable and provided the right seal right out of the box (when I used it 2 or 3 times a day). But you get used to it and you get used to it after a few uses and so it's not a big deal in my opinion. Last but not least, the pressure gauge will not "HOLD" (or display) after you remove this gauge from the tire. But the TireTek model I received "HOLDS" the pressure reading even after removing the tire, so you can look at the reading at your leisure. When this feature is added to this model, the Longacre sensor will be the best in its price range and unbeatable in comparison. Overall, I'm very glad I spent the extra $3 to get this brand instead of TireTek. For the price, this is the best on Revain.
