My fridge has a digital display on the freezer door that shows the temperature inside the fridge and freezer. My fridge is set to 37 degrees. I put all 3 in the fridge to start and tested them after a few hours. All 3 are within a few degrees. Close enough to give a good idea of what's going on inside. I put one of them in the freezer. This is set to zero in the controller. After a while I checked if the temperature in the freezer was zero on this thermometer. I took the third one and put it in the freezer in the garage. I actually wanted them for that. It's hot in the garage, the freezer runs almost non-stop. I checked a few hours later and this thermometer says it's about 10 degrees below zero in the freezer. This is exactly what I expected to find. Now I know for sure. I can turn off the thermostat on the freezer a bit and let the compressor cool down from time to time. I turn it off briefly and check the temperature inside again. I can do this all day and set the thermostat to about zero. This extends the life of the freezer, lowers my utility bills, and keeps food inside. Good job for a $3 thermometer. Thanks Revin this is the guardian
