I have had a Samsung TV for almost 10 years now and the old remote control finally broke. I am planning to buy a new TV in the near future but I needed a new remote control so I could last long until I could afford the TV I wanted. BENEFITS: - Works right out of the box, no programming required. - Includes all the buttons of the original remote and they all work as expected. Cheaper and faster than a Samsung replacement. CONS: Battery pack cover doesn't fit properly, protrudes slightly but stays attached. The original remote had the battery cover attached to the remote on one side so you could never lose it. This is completely removable. The power switch is located on the right side of the remote control. On my original remote it was on the left side. I haven't gotten used to the changes yet. - The colors of the buttons differ from the original and the text on the buttons is not optimally placed (I don't care, but might be interesting for someone).
