This changes the arguments to; Did the score box accurately record the point? When it is powered on you have 2 choices: 11 or 21 point 2 player game. The score box attaches to the side of the net and is big and clunky and very old school looking. The controller is male and speaks to you, it says: score, winner, switch serve, and net. What we liked is the LED number score blinks for who has the serve. There are 3 sensor intensity settings; it didn’t seem to make a difference. On average in one 21 point game at least two scores don’t register and one score would register prematurely, so we had to manually adjust the score using the controller. When the ball catches the very edge of the table, it doesn’t register so the point is given to the person who hit it.When throwing the ball back to the server you can’t bounce it on the table anymore.Installation was relatively easy and fast, 20 minutes. I would recommend not installing it in the order listed: net and then sensors. Do the sensors first, unless you want to be upside down and under the table. The net hardware even fixed a slight unevenness with our table. I have a Joola inside Tennis Table and it required a starter hole to get the sensor screws in. I didn’t install the holders to keep the cables flush. The controller has sticky tape on the back and can be attached where ever you want, I’d recommend closer to the player that doesn’t mind controlling the buttons. The controller buttons are color coded to match the LED numbers on the score box, two blue buttons (+/-) match LED blue number on the score box and two yellow buttons (+/-) match LED yellow number on the score box.Is it worth it? It’s was fun to try we’ve been using it for a few weeks. It is helpful for keeping track of the score and who’s serving.
