Go at least two sizes up. The material is extremely light and cheap, but the dark purple is very forgiving. This is really just a sweater dress with fabric on the side that can be used to create a faux wrap effect. The fabric will be comparable to something you find in very cheap teen stores in the mall. It's perfect for something like a vacation, but you can never wear it to work. The cheapness of the quality is very evident. I wear a very small size or size 0 in Ann Taylor Rip. I have TWO sizes up to M and they fit perfectly. But I'm 5'2" and the dress probably went 3" above my kneecap.
