To save time, I bought the NAS without any hardware to screw the 3.5" hard drives into the bay before inserting them into the bay. 4 failed attempts and a return of the diff screw, that will help you. These screws work with the NAS hard drive tray and are flush with the hard drive to fit seamlessly into the bay.
