Other reviewers have written about the lines and also that the lid is not flat. Both points are correct but I would say the lines are really minimal/hard to see unless up close and unless you plan on using that framed cover they will work just fine. My experience with them is that the real test is durability so we'll see how they hold up for some time on the road and in cold/hot weather. I took the picture from about 5 feet away and you can't see the lines.
