This is my second can of WheelWax. I've used it on the 15" OEM 5 lug steel wheels on my 2014 Tacoma for many years. - my summer wheels. I only use car wash shampoo so the wax lasts most of the season. Since the wheels don't break, WheelWax always looks new and is very easy to clean. The wax is easy to apply and easy to rinse off. as difficult to remove as carnauba wax. A bit of a hassle, but not too bad. I have another set of used winter 15" 5-stud OEM wheels that are smashed up. I recently got 4 new chrome strips for it but I didn't have WheelWax so I tried the polymer sealant I use for truck paint. After a few winter storms in Colorado, I washed the rims but couldn't get rid of the stains from the melting road ice. Dish soap and a plain brilliant green couldn't remove stains from the first cap. So when I got my new WheelWax tub I sent a message and the stains were gone without a whirl. With a little more effort than normal waxing, all 4 hubcaps looked like new again. WheelWax is therefore also an effective and safe cleaner for chrome-plated plastic hubcaps. I also use WheelWax to clean my exhaust tip. Very durable and easy to clean. But in winter I have to add it more often than in summer. I even use it on headlights and get better protection than the car sealant I use on paint. Haven't tried any other wheel waxes so can't compare to anything but I'm very happy with WheelWax.
