Review on Deepuro Reverse Filtration Tankless Purification by Ben Walls

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy replacement except for one part for existing systems

Like most people who already have a reverse osmosis system this would be an easy replacement. Not only do you save water, you also free up half the space under the sink. So I have an old 2.5 gallon tank and three profilers with a reverse membrane filtration system I installed 10 years ago. I decide to stop wasting so much water and opt for something new and more efficient. Deepuro was the cheapest option. I figured just remove the old system and connect all the old lines to the new one. Right! Not correct! You can use the old 1/4" drain pipe and 1/4" tap water but not the inlet water pipe as Deepuro chose to use a 3/8" pipe. When I was remodeling my house, I asked them to install a separate valve for my reverse osmosis system. So I can deactivate this filter system at any time without affecting the sink faucet. Do I now need to change the valve to accommodate the 3/8" line? I went to HD and found a 3/8" to 1/4" quick connect. Problem solved. May be. After 40 minutes flushing the system the "work" light wouldn't stop flashing. I finally just stopped flushing and after a few seconds the work light stopped flashing. The water was delicious. But the next day I noticed that the water pressure wasn't that great came out quickly like I used to with the tank. Yes, I can fill a large pot continuously, but not as fast. Maybe it's the 1/4" line to the 3/8" line, but I seriously doubt it. There If I have a few feet of 3/8" tubing left I'll install it later to see if it changes the flow rate.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
