Bought a Chromebook 3 in March 2017 to replace my Chromebook 2 for two upgrade features: longer battery life (10-11 hours) and updated Wi-Fi 802.11ac . 3 provided good service and the price was worth it. However, after 3 years of almost daily use, a fully charged battery only lasts about 6 hours. I also found myself wishing I had a Chromebook with a backlit keyboard. My Chromebooks (2 & 3) were purchased as an add-on to my iMac desktop and have done their job very well. Especially for travel: light weight, relatively small size and long battery life gave me exactly what I wanted. I still enjoy using the 3 for travel and for basic computing around the house. If you're on a budget this is still a steal. I have to admit, lately I've been craving more battery life, a backlit keyboard, and maybe even a touchscreen again.
