Review on ๐Ÿชต Woodstock D3831: High-Performance Adjustable Block Plane with 1-3/8-Inch Blade by Melvin Balamani

Revainrating 4 out of 5

great for the price

This product had no reviews when I purchased. It is also my first block plane. Keeping that in mind I do own a couple of planes and work with them regularly. A couple of things that I new to look for. A flat sole, check. Cracks anywhere on the body, none to be found. A sharp knife, so so and a fully functional unit (all pieces doing what they are supposed to), check.I was surprised about the flatness of the sole I thought for sure I would be working this for quite some time. The blade need work on a stone but not much. I was quite impressed overall for the money. 4 stars because its not lie nielsen.

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • The plane's balanced design may make it difficult to use for those with smaller hands or weaker grip strength
