Review on Enhancing Engine Performance with Delphi EG10176 EGR Valve by Antonio Liu

This product is a poor quality or incorrect version of the correct EGR valve for my 2001 Saturn SC2 even though it is listed as correct for my make, model and year. I purchased this product because it was advertised on Revain as the correct product solution to the P0401 engine fault code I was receiving. When I replace the original EGR valve in my Saturn with this product, the "Service Engine Soon" light comes on - temporarily after I cleared the trouble code with an ODB-II scanner - about every 400 miles or so it goes Light up again on "Service Engine" with the same error code. FYI: I also replaced the PCV valve and O2 sensor just to make sure they weren't part of the problem. I was not able to encounter the same issue and error code again until after the 30 day seller/supplier return window expired. expired. Searching Saturn owner and mechanic forums turns up several posts stating that while some aftermarket EGR valves are listed as correct, they do not properly control and measure proper exhaust gas pressure and flow. It seems to be one of those "not quite right" products. If the supplier doesn't make an exception for me regarding the 30 day return window, I'll have 3 problems and an inefficient product: 1.) not measuring emissions correctly and not returning fuel consumption to pre-problem levels 2.) causing this car cannot pass smog emissions tests in California next year, and 3.) that I must replace with another product that is about double the price of this product
