Enhancing Engine Performance with Delphi EG10176 EGR Valve Review

It was delivered as promised! This didn't completely solve my problem but was a good start. It really needed to be replaced as the old spigot was so stuck that it couldn't be cleaned. I only give it 4 stars because the pad that comes with it is wafer thin. I would therefore recommend a higher quality seal. It's $2 in the auto zone so get a good one.

After months of contemplation the EGR valve is not the problem because I replaced it with this one. A friend borrowed a diagnostic tester and found that this part was not working properly. for my 02 Saturn SL2. The part looks identical to the part it replaced and has been confirmed by Revain to work in my car but code P0401 will never go away. I would have returned if I could but the return window has closed.

This EGR valve was perfect for my 2001 Saturn SC2. Soon our check engine light was on almost constantly until we ran diagnostics and found that the oxygen sensor valve had failed and that the EGR valve may also have failed. After replacing the O2 valve the light went out for a while but soon came back on. So I replaced the EGR valve. Problem solved. Seems to be a pretty solid unit.

Suitable for 2002 sc2. Unfortunately, like the other reviewer, he sets the EGR flow code for insufficient flow (p0401). I made sure the EGR passages in the manifolds are clean and flowing. Replaced with a NAPA branded valve (twice the price) and passed all emissions readiness tests. It may work on an early generation S-Series, but it looks like the valve is not opening far enough to allow the expected EGR flow on a late-generation Saturn S-Series.

This replaced the "Made in China" EGR valve which didn't last a month before it failed and started leaking through every imaginable crack in the magnet housing and more codes than EGR to pump . replaced, currently my code is clear of codes P0404/P1404 so I could get my car (02 Saturn SL) until it starts leaking. By the way, this Delphi EGR valve is made in the USA (imagine that!), so I suspect the person who assembled this valve is very unlikely to be a 14-hour slave job in a sweatshop in China

This product is a poor quality or incorrect version of the correct EGR valve for my 2001 Saturn SC2 even though it is listed as correct for my make, model and year.
