This umbrella was purchased to replace an existing vented golf awning which has served me well for the past eight years. and repaired once or twice. searched everywhere for an exact replacement but to no avail so settled on this one. SHORT DROPS: * Umbrella tip used to be metal with a rubber tip, now it's a cheap looking plastic tip * Handle was hard rubber, now rubberized plastic and a sure grip * Locking mechanism is now all plastic Metal clip from the previous version * of course it's lighter but feels a lot worse, definitely sending it back and continuing my hunt, may have to look for another brand.
