Simple design and looks good as it should work. But even with 75% isopropyl it doesn't burn for more than a minute. It absorbs the wick well, but just doesn't burn. We've adjusted the wick, trimmed it, shaped it, whatever I can think of. I used to use spirit torches which worked great and I needed another one that I could use to teach kids how to shape flint glass. But this thing just will NOT burn! I assume it's kind of a wick. The photos showed a chicken wire wick (to hold shape) but I didn't have that, just cotton wicks. They should work fine, but they don't. It doesn't matter if I empty it and pour in fresh alcohol, or seal the cork tightly and come back to it later. I have an orange flame for a few seconds and then it goes out. I'm disappointed but I had it a month before attempting to use it. There is no refund for me. I haven't tried 95% ethanol (Everclear is EXPENSIVE) or 99% isopropyl alcohol (which isn't currently in stock), but when I used them as a youth all 70% were available - and they worked great. This one just doesn't do it for some reason.
