Review on Logitech Backlit Mechanical Keyboard Passthrough by Adam Rymko ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

3 years of usage experience. I'm using a different Logitech keyboard to write this review, which I love. It's not in the G-series. Keycaps can be annoying! They slide into the four holes in the switches on four weak small plastic legs. These legs literally break from a light touch on the keys—I have no idea what kind of plastic they are composed of! Additionally, the button begins to dangle, becomes incredibly unstable, and may even fly out when you press it again if at least one of the four legs is damaged. Additionally, because it is no longer firmly attached, the chance that you will break another leg—or possibly two—by pressing it increases enormously! On two legs, the button loses its holding power and almost always crashes, jumping out of the keyboard! In other words, it just stops working after each stop, pick it up, and put it back. If you print any more, everything will repeat. Infuriates! Her other two legs also break at that point. The button does NOT stay on the clave from the word AT ALL in this condition! In other words, even if you just lightly blow toward the keyboard, all of these buttons will fly off at the first sign of air! I hardly ever pressed any buttons, played any games, or printed a lot. Simply for the sake of working with graphic software, I took it. 2. Romer-G occasionally crackles, seemingly due to sand buildup (no). Broken legs collapse into the holes underneath them, making it nearly impossible to remove them. 3. You frequently have to clean it, removing the keycaps in the process, and because of how rapidly it becomes dirty and coated with dust, they break even more frequently. Outcome: Other Romer-G keycaps for the G-413 are practically impossible to locate, and if you do, just ONE button will set you back between $450 and $500! The space bar is comparable to two or three buttons for the price, while Ctrl and Shift are much more pricey! three thousand sans 2022 letters in the set. In other words, the design (behind the glass in the window) is the sole benefit; using it would be impracticable and wasteful of money. I strongly discourage!

Pros
  • Compared to mechanical keyboards on other switches, the appearance and keystroke sound are quieter.
Cons
  • Keycaps! Switch keycaps made of plastic Self-switching Romer-G switches! VERY easily dirty; continuously gathers debris, even tiny dust. Comment below for further information about this.
