This is the perfect versatile sunshade. It blocks much of the sun but my children can still see through it. The materials are PVC free and safe (as far as I know, except for probably the suction cups). There is no odor. It's very hard for children to damage in any way. It is adjustable if you want partial sun coverage. Honestly, as the mother of two older toddlers, I highly recommend this item. If you're the mother of a younger toddler or infant they may be able to reach up and pull on this item but I don't see it being a major issue or safety concern.
