Having lived in New England for 36 years, I wish I had bought them for my cars much sooner! I put it on my car even when light snow is expected for training. Like pitching a tent, the more that is done, the faster and more proficient the progress will be. It comes with a bag for things. I tie up the back of my van with the rope that the sack is attached to and leave the sack in the car. This helps secure the tail when I slide it over the top and front of my station wagon. In strong winds I tie the cord in the middle. (That may be an exaggeration as it seems to stay in place very well.) To store it, I currently place it in a large vacuum bag and suck out the air. If I try to transfer it to the bag in compressed form, I will report my success (or failure). We have heavy snow here and I shovel the snow before I push it. I especially like it when there is no compacted snow on top (with a non-folding luggage rack) or in a well-cleaned windscreen. I can even try it at home in the summer if I park in the shade to protect my car from the juice. Highly recommended!
