I ordered this rear floor protector for my new 2022 BMW X7 as it was the only side piece covering the small storage hole on the side. . As soon as I received it and partially removed it from the packaging, I knew I would be returning it. The little protrusions on the back designed to cling to the carpet are huge and very sharp. I knew right away that over time they would destroy my carpet. If it's a fitted product it really shouldn't slip, but that was overkill. When buying a very expensive car, I look for products that can protect everything to keep my car looking new for as long as possible. I know that if this were present, once removed there would be small speckles on my carpet that cannot be repaired or repaired, the carpet would be ruined. It can also tear the carpet itself, like rubbing into the carpet with small knives. I went back and ended up with the Weathertech option which fits perfectly and is slick on the back. Works great, no knife needed. Twice the price but worth the investment to protect my BMW from damage. This trunk mat will damage your car carpet, buyers need to know!
