These cables work like Ethernet cables but are not Cat6a as advertised. True Cat6a cables use 16-20 AWG wiring. These cables use 30 AWG wire. They also don't have a plastic spacer to separate pairs. I'm not sure if it has the 2 turns per cm that Cat6a should have. But part of the plastic cap on Cat6 cable is to ensure that the maximum bend radius is not exceeded. Real Cat6a has foil shielding around each pair. Cat6a is also about 1/4" in diameter. This cable is about 1/8" in diameter. It's not properly tested for Cat6a. You'll get connectivity and POE, but you won't see 1GB or 10GB, if you look for it.according to the test results you can get 600mb with this cable.however the cable says cat6a.if you only want 50ft ethernet and don't need gb this will work.but if you need gb or more you will be disappointed.
