I used a two way electric trimmer where I switched the active side to even out the wear and tear. The hair length guide also had to be reassembled each time. I've never had the correct geometry of my mustache with guide teeth that go all the way to the nose. Now the nose-troubling approach is no longer necessary. This is a serious unilateral trimmer, so trimming from the nose works well. Instead of multiple passes, one or two will suffice. You may want to use a deeper lead than you are used to with a weak trimmer. The old trimmer left a lot of fur with the 6mm guide and the new one doesn't mess around. Large gulps came out with each hit. The accidentally trimmed beard actually looked pretty good, I have nothing to complain about. The old trimmer will be sent as a gift or for recycling.
