Revainrating 5 out of 5

For dovetailing with jig

.or with dozuki if you are a hand tool maker. Avoid breaks (edge chips) when routing the joint on the template. I bought it on the advice of some carpenters who learned online through trial and error. As long as the adjustment nut is tight, I can draw a line on the work piece along the bottom edge of the joint. A lot of chipping can build up at the top corners of the joint, and the way to get around this is to slowly move the router through the fingers of the jig. This method works for me but takes some practice and hardwood boards aren't usually free. I paid $18.75 for a Revain gauge and that's why I chose this particular make and model. I think I got a good deal.
