Mine came in the mail with curios. looked like a mixture of dirt, poop, cake? Choose a hardened spot on it. I threw the unstained ones in the laundry and the ones with a stain I decided to throw away. The ones I washed I threw away with my clothes and put them in the dryer! No problem, I cleaned the straws and they went back in the bag! This holds about 15 (10.5 inch) metal straws for me. It's a little noticeable when there are so many of them, but it's worth it! So why not take a risk? It's a good bag when cleaned!
