If you buy something like this you need to know what kind of software you want to run and then install it. software and check if the device is supported. You really can't just buy on a whim and realize there's no way to get the software you want to use. The company does next to nothing to make things easier. You may receive customer information about the software setup. Different programs are fundamentally different from each other. So the offset of the boost converter is -125000000 in one and 125000000 in the other. And nobody will tell you where she goes or what the field is called. I hope you enjoy watching endless YouTube videos looking for clues as this provider doesn't bother to help customers set up. Here's a hint: cubic SDR only works if you can find a pothosSDR distribution with cubic SDR. The cube itself has no driver for it. A big disappointment for me is the complexity and/or impossibility to use some well known digital programs like wsjtx and fldigi. Of course, they don't support it without major hacks. If you watch dozens of videos and want to search the internet for hours, trying to get it working, then this is the device for you. If you want something more reliable, keep looking.

Pros
  • The kit includes the Ham It Up v1.3 boost converter installed in a special black aluminum case; NESDR SMArt RTL-SDR, 3 antennas, balun, impedance matching for long wire and dipole antennas and connection adapter
Cons
  • Off fashion
