This worked fine for me and solves my problem for now (creates two connections with just one cable). I bought four 1 foot cords and routed 2 from the side of the router and then 2 from the side of my wall outlets, one outlet on each side of the wall. Now I have an ethernet connection in my living room and in my son's room. However, there is one thing I didn't know. The maximum data traffic per line is 100 Mbit/s. It provides a stable connection but is slower than my WiFi. I have 1GB at home and my wireless devices are 350-580Mbps. I'll probably run a second line instead of this one to improve performance. So the product still gets 5 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you are familiar with 100Mbps, this is a great solution.
