We live in a household that can only be described as having too many pets. I mean, WE certainly wouldn't describe it that way, but many would. We have 4 cats and 2 dogs and believe me pet hair and dander is a big problem. Combine this with the fact that the owner of the home is, sincerely, allergic to said hair and pet dander and it presents a complex problem. Filtrete Micro Allergen air filters are a godsend. We have a large house with two AC units, upstairs and downstairs. Pets tend to stay upstairs (lots of sunshine and bird watching) and even after almost daily vacuuming, the filter catches quite a bit of "stuff". We've tried "cheaper" filters, but as you know, you really do get what you pay for. Filtrete filters are not excessive and the small additional cost is worth the investment. I change mine monthly and we will not use any other air filter.
