There are a few things wrong, but on the whole it works.
Just to be clear the mount is made of steel and is very strong but when mounted to a monitor and VESA mount it seems oversized as the whole rig shakes a lot (I know my desktop, the mount is fine, worked great with the universal mount). During installation, the supplied screws didn't want to screw into the device at all, fortunately my screws from the universal bracket fitted and worked.
