I read about these speaker stands many years ago and knew I needed a pair for my home theater. I have a pair of Allison Acoustics AL-115 speakers as a network and these stands are perfect for them. Fast forward 15 years and I finally got around to ordering them. They're strong and sturdy, which is good, because although Sanus *claims* you can fill them with ball bearings, sand, grit, kitty litter, or other stuff. Things I haven't found a way to actually do it. As other reviewers have pointed out and I can confirm, the holes on either end of the main tubes, including the screw holes, are so small that it's impossible to get anything in there at all. But once I lined up the racks on the floor and the speakers were in place and aligned with the panels (using the included brass spikes) it was clear that absolutely nothing was going to move. They look great and go perfectly with my black metal and glass TV cabinet. I'm really sorry I didn't wait that long to get them, but what I had years ago worked, even if it was a cheap AF and there were many other items on the "expensive" list, that had to be clarified. came out first.
