Review on 12 FT Battery Tender Extension Cable: Convenient Power Extension for Your Battery Charger by Tyrell Hudson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great extension cord for charging and more.

How I used the jump starter extension cable (*small Powersports 6V or 12V batteries only): His bike would not start. We moved away from the pumps and then I connected the extension cord to my bike, connected the polarity reversing adapter and then the SAE battery clips that came with my battery tender and attached them to his battery posts. His bike started and we were able to finish our ride. Lucky for him, I keep my battery tender and components in my saddlebags when my bike isn't in storage so I don't lose them between seasons. and the motorcycle is connected and disconnected during winter storage. I also bought a set of SAE polarity reversing adapters which help avoid confusion and allow me to use an extension cord to start the power supply. You must reverse polarity when using SAE power leads to jump start, otherwise you will be connecting positive to negative and vice versa between the batteries - NOT GOOD! because you increase the power of two batteries and fry something on both bikes. * I am not responsible for any damage caused by my sample. I also do not recommend starting the motorcycle with a car battery or with the engine running as damage or injury may result in these scenarios. Do not use this cable to start large vehicles (lawn mowers, boats, cars, trucks) as the wire size is too small to handle higher CCA batteries and it may cause an electrical fire. Also, do not connect batteries of different voltages (6V to 12V) as it may cause an explosion. Disconnect the cable immediately after starting another bike.
