Review on 📦 Efficient Aluminum Can Compactor: The Crusher by Pacific Precision Metals in White Finish by David Kits

With all the 4 and 5 star reviews, I ordered this product with high expectations. Unfortunately, the device I received was defective. One side of the device is bent outwards, causing several problems: 1) The hinge on that side does not work smoothly. Instead, it hangs and creates resistance as the handle moves. 2) The piston rod is twisted as shown in the photo. This causes the plunger to get stuck on one side, effectively getting stuck inside the device. The product is unusable as it is. When I requested a replacement for Revain I was surprised to find that the item was non-refundable. As the product is under warranty I have contacted the seller via email and we will see how they deal with it. Other thoughts: 1) The crusher is heavy gauge steel and I expect it to last quite a while if it works. 2) The handle has a thick rubber tube that rotates on a shaft. Should help with the work, but the diameter of the handle is slightly smaller. I suppose it can become uncomfortable after prolonged use. 3) The instructions include a template for installing the crusher. After the seller contacts me I will update this review and let you know how things went. 4/ Update 9/2019: I emailed their customer service department on March 20th, 2019. There was no reply so I called the phone number on the package. The number quickly goes to voicemail for a man named Charlie. There is no indication in the outgoing message that I even contacted the right company. I have left my contact details and a description of the problem. I'll give them a few more days to reply to me. Update 08/25/2019: After several attempts to contact the manufacturer, I gave up. My rating has now been downgraded to one star for lack of customer service and I now have a $25 piece of junk. Buyer warning!
