Not much info on this but I pierced my ears with a sterile needle/clip I bought on Amazon. I work for a company so I can't show jewelry at work, nor have I had 4-8 weeks off for the surgical steel studs to stay in while they heal. I used a 14 gauge needle along with a couple of these. I've been wearing the same pair for over 2 weeks now and use a saline solution to clean them twice a day. They are very comfortable, difficult to see, and heal beautifully. The puncture wound did not stick to the material at all. I will continue to use them as a fixative after they have healed. Highly recommended for this purpose.
