Great option for a NAS server. Note, however, that "13 SATA ports" is misleading. In the BIOS you have the choice to use a PCIe card on 8x, 4x and various combinations of SATA/SAS ports. Basically you can choose between 8x PCIe and 1 SATA port, 4x PCIe and 5 SATA ports or a deactivated PCIe slot and 9 ports. If you plan to connect 13 drives and add another SAS controller or even run an 8 drive data array plus a RAID1 system drive array, this will not work.
