Review on 🐦 Wagner's Wild 62050 Nyjer Seed Bird Food: Premium 10-Pound Bag for Attracting Colorful Songbirds by Victoria Harris

HUGE disappointment

Not to mention a pretty big waste of money. I have this because we have quite a few finches and a few goldfinches that visit our feeders regularly. I also bought a nice little sunflower feeder made for this type of seed. I hung it up expecting the finches to "swarm" it around. A month later, with not a single bird showing any interest in the new feeder, I figured something in the feeder was preventing my little feathered friends from eating what they considered a delicacy. I bought another feeder very similar to the one on this listing (but not as long) and put a fresh batch of seeds in it. A few weeks later, the birds still show no interest. In the meantime I have filled all the other feeding troughs several times with different birdseed. So I made another try; Since they weren't the least bit interested in the metal feeders, I placed some of these seeds in a wooden feeder with plexiglass walls. This is the one they have been eating ordinary, cheap seeds from for a year or more. Unfortunately, Nayer's seed is still just sitting there. Even squirrels don't care and I figured they would eat anything, especially if it was in a bird feeder. At that point, I can either throw it on the ground and hope the pigeons that are feeding there will eat it, or I can throw it in the bin. The "great deal" I thought I got ($35 off to $19.98, 43% savings!) turned out to be not great at all.
