I've recently decided to use completely different colors in my betta tank. I wanted something that contrasted with its very dark color so it wouldn't blend into the background too much. It's a small aquarium, so I didn't want to clutter the space with too many things, but I still wanted it to make an impression. Small enough for a 1 gallon tank, this white crinoline complemented the landscape beautifully. The bright white color is so pretty, and while it may be plastic, it's surprisingly soft - definitely soft enough for my betta's fins. Even in a small aquarium it is well below the waterline and my Betta spent some time poking around in it and checking it out with no problem. The rounded weight on the bottom fits nicely under the gravel and keeps it in place. I might not have been thrilled with the price, but it's definitely worth paying more compared to other cheaper artificial plants.
