Review on Versatile and Efficient Pliers: Wire Cable Cutters, Side Flush & Diagonal Cutting Pliers by Marcus Hardin

I bought this for 3D printing and use it mostly for cutting plastic thread (and occasionally puttying models) so I wasn't particular here concerned about metallurgy. Other than that, they're sharp and work better than I expected for the price. However, I made the mistake of using it to cut a small toy spring as I had wire cutters on hand at the time and assumed they would be strong enough to cut 0.2mm steel wire. The blades actually deformed at the tip (at the point of contact) leaving a rounded notch, while unfortunately the spring itself remained undamaged. It's probably best to stick with electronics and plastic as harder materials will put pressure on it. That being said, I'm so pleased with this purchase that I'm buying another pair to use solely as the cutting pliers to assemble the model.
