More than expected for the low price.

The picture is of Plato Model 170 and that is exactly what I received when I ordered No 0 Shipping took a while but it was still before the expected shipping date. There is a small burr at the tip that rubs against the other cams but doesn't affect cutting. The handles are solid and stay attached. The spring is strong enough to reopen after cutting. Cuts through thin wires and deformed toenails without touching the edge from the flush side.

Very good for this price range

The "brand name" of this type of pliers is quite expensive so I decided to try them. I only use them to cut thin wire and pieces of plastic and no problems so far. Oversized soft grips are good too. However, they are not ideal. The jaws are unevenly finished and look "wrong", it seems that one side has a large jaw. They really cut straight, they just look stupid. HOWEVER, for a few bucks they're very good, but I don't make a heavy cut with them at all.

good size Great so far. Excellent price. Wear safety glasses.

So far so good. They are super cheap and beautifully cut. I've never had pliers this small, but they definitely come in handy. I can get tips in small places which is nice. They are very sharp. From now on I will use them for cutting smaller wires. I can buy a few more sets to keep as spares in case they become dull or for some reason I cut the tube with them. The first wire I cut made a noise and a small piece of wire flew into the air. (Maybe I should have worn goggles as the pin says)…

Great for wires and plastic, could be stronger

I bought this for 3D printing and use it mostly for cutting plastic thread (and occasionally puttying models) so I wasn't particular here concerned about metallurgy. Other than that, they're sharp and work better than I expected for the price. However, I made the mistake of using it to cut a small toy spring as I had wire cutters on hand at the time and assumed they would be strong enough to cut 0.2mm steel wire. The blades actually deformed at the tip (at the point of contact) leaving a…

Cheap and dangerous garbage!

I'm not one to write reviews, especially negative ones, but this one should be written. I bought two pliers. I am a trained power plant mechanic and have been an automotive technician for 20 years, 10 of which in professional road racing and racing car construction. I know how to use a toolbox and handle all kinds of tools. These wire cutters broke a third time cutting through plastic cable ties. You read that right... PLASTIC ZIPTI! The broken tip hit the side of my head and fortunately didn't

It's worth it, but only limited to cables 20g and above!

The price was very reasonable given its limitations. Pros: - The price is excellent. - Cuts clean. - Pointed tips provide excellent access to tight spaces such as DIP cables. Cons: - VERY fragile. If you are cutting larger diameter items such as RF cables or 14g wires etc. this tool is NOT for you. This tool is for small components with copper terminations, such as B. wires with a weight of 20 g or more, and components designed with through holes. If you press on it, one of the cutting tips…

Pros
  • Hand Tool
Cons
  • Unsure

Store bought wire cutters listed simply as "#0" and have no description, no specifications, nothing other than that they cost $1.95. I didn't think they would cost less than $2 and was pleasantly surprised to find that they were great pliers, especially for working with fine electronics or jewelry. They are precise and can cut perfectly with their thin tip. Use it on wire up to 20 gauge. They're much better than the Stanley counterpart listed as "Diagonal Cut" for $2.39, which doesn't cut…
