I bought this for an Aquatop CF500 external filter. I use coarse, medium and white fine in the bottom bowl. The next compartment holds my media with the ammonia filter on top of the media. The next compartment has more media with a nitrate filter on top. The last compartment has a fine filter (black) with a white fine filter. Works great for my 100 gallons. marine aquarium. I've had the same fish for about 7 years or more. Very happy and so confident my fish.
