First, good points. Very comfortable, very stretchy jean material. Cute style. These are true wide leg jeans, that gently hug the waist and hips, then start to flare out through the thigh, which is what I wanted. Not bell bottoms that hug down to the knee.This style is VERY distressed, a little more than maybe I am used to, but still if that's what you're going for; fine. I'm just a little worried that they're so distressed they might start falling apart after just a few washes. Also, as other reviewers have said, they definitely run big. I am 5'6" 140lbs., I think my hips are 41 inches. I usually wear 4-6 US sizing, or medium bottoms. I ordered the small. They fit very comfortably, not tight in the least. In fact, I suspect that they will feel a bit big after being worn for a bit, since jeans stretch out. I bet I could try an extra small and still fit. I am considering returning, just because the level of distressing is a little beyond my preference, but their still a cute pair of jeans for those of you who are looking for that style.
